Three Day Shakeology Cleanse Results

I posted the “recipe” or “menu” the other day for the three day Shakeology cleanse. Today was my final weigh-in for my three day cleanse.

I woke up this morning to the first sun I’ve seen in 4 days. Hurricane Sandy has ravaged the east coast since Saturday. It was almost like a literal AND a figurative cleansing over this weekend. Today, there are lots of leaves and pine needles lining, not only the sides of the street, but also along the center median. The clouds were wispy, almost appearing as if a brush were lightly dipped in paint, wiped clean with a cloth, then lain onto the sky canvas. Bright, beautiful, vibrant colors to wake up to this morning.

While I pray for the safety of those without power, those missing still, and those unable to contact loved ones, I’m feeling confident that many are safe as I’ve seen updates via social media that friends and family members are safe. It really is a new beginning, though. I won’t get into it, but I had a pretty rough weekend. I’m really looking forward to the new start, and just getting my own nutrition back on track.

Let me back up just a little, though. Yesterday morning, I had exceeded the results of my previous cleanse in just TWO days. Of course, at that time, I didn’t really know what I was doing. Still, 3.8 lbs. lost in 3 days is nothing to scoff at. Waking up yesterday to see a loss of over 4 lbs. in two days was certainly encouraging. In the meantime, it also got me pretty anxious to get to today in order to see what my final results were going to be.

I always get on the scale in the evening as well to gauge what my overnight weight loss might be. Last night, even after my day of shakes, fruit and nuts, and my spinach, cheese, and grilled chicken for a salad, I was sitting at 4.4 lbs lost over 2½ days. My goal for the 3 days was 5 lbs. I do know that I generally, at least, lose about a half pound overnight. I was cutting it close! Most of the time, it’s over 1 lb. loss, but I was concerned.

With the original Chocolate Shakeology formula, I found that when I wasn’t eating properly, it would clear out my system. Doing a 3 day Shakeology cleanse with that formula, it almost seemed like a typical water diet, just completely flushing out the system. I used the Chocolate Vegan Shakeology formula for this cleanse. I’m not sure how it happened, but I certainly don’t feel like that happened this time around. I know it didn’t.

I simply had my three shakes each day, a banana or a serving of almonds, my green tea, and my grilled chicken, spinach, and cheese salad. I didn’t starve, I drank plenty of water in addition to the tea (I even saw my hydration level rise through this past three days), and I lost weight. Yes, I went to the bathroom a lot. I was taking in at least a half gallon of fluids per day (not counting any water I drank). I don’t know anyone that wouldn’t pass water. Like I said, though, my hydration level went up, too, though.

I don’t know how to explain it. The human body is complex. I don’t think I’ll ever completely understand how it works. I have a better understanding of it, thanks to the wonderful folks at Beachbody, and the other coaches I’ve come into contact with as a result of the workout and exercise programs that Beachbody puts out.

I lost 5.6 lbs in 3 days, using the Beachbody Three Day Shakeology Cleanse. Are you interested in seeing what it can do for you? Fill out the Contact form to the right of your screen (If you’re on a mobile device, it’s below). I’ll gladly work with you and help you achieve your own goals!
